영국의 학제 및 교육 시스템은 한국과 달라 의사가 되기 위한 과정에도 차이가 있어요.
영국에서 의사가 되려면 어떤 절차를 거쳐야할까요.
1. 의대 진학을 위한 과정
2년의 과정인 A-Level 혹은 1년의 대학 예비 과정인 파운데이션을 통하여 의대 진학과 입학을 해야합니다.
2. 의대 과정 및 졸업
의대 과정은 5~6년으로 학교에 따라 학위 취득 기간이 다릅니다.
3. 파운데이션 트레이닝
파운데이션 트레이닝(Foundation Training)은 2년 과정으로 우리나라 인턴에 해당합니다. 이때부터 의사로서 월급을 받아요.
- Foundation Year 1: 3과를 골라 이를 1년간 트레이닝을 받으면 General Medical Council에 등록할 수 있습니다.
- Foundation Year 2: 트레이닝을 받은 3과 중 하나를 선택합니다.
4. CT
CT(Core Medical Training) 또는 Acute Care Common Stern으로 불리며 선택한 과로 2년 동안 병원에서 근무합니다. 이 기간에 MRCP(The Membership of the Royal College of Physicians) 시험을 봅니다.
5. Specialty Training
전문의 과정인 Specialty Training은 4~6년이 걸립니다.
6. General Practice Training
General Practice Training은 3년의 전문의 과정입니다.
SCE(Specialty Certificate Examination) 시험을 본 후, CCT(Certificate of Completion of Training)를 받습니다.
GMC Specialist register이나 GP register 자격을 얻으면 GP Principal 또는 Consultant로서 일할 수 있습니다.
7. 그 후
